How do i remove crickets from a leopard geckos tank once it is done eating?

i had a leopard gecko who died november last year (may he rest in peace) and im thinking about getting another one soon but one problem my gecko always had was catching the crickets so how would i slow down crickets to allow for a leopard gecko to eat them, also how can you remove uneaten crickets from a cage once the gecko is done?
