Obeying parents vs Sunnah?

Wa alaikum salam ..Your mother's opinion is right because today non muslim people and especially the US government hate muslims who maintain beard and his name muhammad.as terrists. We should avoid the danger of cruel world Besides that growing beard is only sunnah or voluntary. It is not mandatory so you will not have sins without beard I myself have no beard too.
