Is masterbation really Haram in Isalm?

Traditionally, Islam, Judaism and Christianity have frowned upon masturbaton becuase it separates sexual pleasure from reproduction. I can see why certain kinds of porn or objectifying women disrespectfully are sinful but as for tossing off itself, it's perfectly natural and if you don't you'll just have wet dreams about hot chicks. When girls dress hot or flirt, they know guys will toss off over them. Healthy, single males and females do it. I think God would be more concerned about violence and injustice and kids starving!
