Simple molecular substances made up of larger molecules are solid at room temperature?

Well, the larger they are the higher the probability that it will be soild. BUT it all depends on the exact structure. Is it an alcohol, a keton or a simply carbohydrate? But if we take all the alcohols or ketons for example, then the larger alcohol will have a higher melting point than the smaller alcohol.
